Support

Music player from iCloud Drive for iPhone and iPad. Below you'll find answers to the most common questions.

Getting started

  1. Make sure you're signed in to iCloud (Settings → [Your name] → iCloud).
  2. Open SopMPlayer → Library tab → music note icon → Find music automatically.
  3. You can also add a folder manually via the iCloud document picker.
  4. Place MP3, M4A, FLAC, WAV, OGG, and other files in iCloud Drive — the app scans subfolders.

Supported formats

MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, WAV, AIFF, OGG Vorbis, and other popular audio formats supported by iOS.

Offline cache

In Settings → Offline cache, enable optional track buffering. Set a storage limit as needed. Once cached, you can listen without an internet connection.

AirPods, CarPlay & Lock Screen

While playing, use Control Center, the Lock Screen, or headphone gestures (depending on your AirPods model). Controls work in the background.

Widget & Siri Shortcuts

Add the SopMPlayer widget from the Home Screen. Siri Shortcuts are available in the Shortcuts app after you play your first track.

Internet radio

The Radio tab lets you listen to internet stations. You can save favourite stations in the app.

Import from other apps

In Files or another app: select an audio file → ShareSopMPlayer.

Troubleshooting

  • No tracks in library — check your iCloud connection, refresh the library, or restart the app.
  • Files won't download — make sure files in iCloud Drive aren't stuck as cloud-only without being downloaded.
  • No sound in background — check that playback isn't muted by Do Not Disturb or Focus mode.

System requirements

  • iOS 17.0 or later
  • iPhone or iPad
  • iCloud account (for cloud library)
